Iran grabs 5th place at the British Invention Show. Seven gold medals of the 7th British Invention Show have brightly adorned the Iranian inventors at the UK's largest innovation expo.

Iranian inventors won seven gold, six silver and four bronze medals of the British Invention Show, grabbing the fifth place at the event.

Entries included a diverse array of unique ideas from ice blasting to an engine that runs on air. From ray absorber material and football skate board machine to production of electricity from sea waves, the Iranian inventors displayed their brilliant ideas at the show for the benefit of humanity.

There were even shoes to walk on water to realize an old dream of mankind. The floating hydraulic shoes are designed as a result of research over catamaran joined by personal creativity and innovation to manoeuvre over the water. The shoes can be used for recreational, life guarding and military purposes.

A device for controlling processes in gas and oil refinery, an intelligent system substituting speed cameras and laser guns, wireless pH meter and transfer of river water were among other inventions presented by the Iranian inventors.

The group of Iranians participating in the event was among the 250 inventors from 17 countries, who presented their unique ideas at the show, which ran from October 17 to 20 in Alexandra Palace in London.
