And what was the result?
THE
HALABJA MASSACRE
The irony of the situation is that in
the aftermath of the massacres,
genocides and crimes against humanity,
the United Nations and Human Rights
agencies wake up to the tragic reality
and produce elaborate reports. But until
then, they dance to the tunes of
the international corporations to
conceal the facts and remain oblivious
to the conspiracy of promoting arms
trade, including chemical weapons, at a
terrible cost to human life in
the developing and poor countries.

An article on the institution
of MINAB and the issues of extremism
and social cohesion it aims to
address
Dr. Sibtain Panjwani
Following the establishment of ‘The
Mosques and Imams National Advisory
Board’ (MINAB), it is perhaps worth
reflecting over its origin and the
issues it aims to address. There
have already been criticisms
levelled at MINAB with regards to
its constitution and potential
operation. This article is not
designed to fuel these criticisms
but rather, to contribute to the
discussion on the role played by
British Muslims and the government
to socio-political issues concerning
extremism and social cohesion.

The
devil betrays his own colleagues
over money making game
The anti-Islam hatemongerer Dutch MP
Geert Wilders, whose malicious film
Fitna has appeared on the obnoxious
websites, in his enthusiasm to
offend Islam and Muslims, forgot to
secure copyright on footage used in
the movie. Observers think that this
move was for the purpose of
grabbing all the profits by his own,
and depriving his colleagues who are
in the business of making money out
of their anti-Islam blasphemy. All
his pretensions about freedom of
speech and democracy are as farcical
as his movie is.

The Voice of Muhammad (S.A.W)
By George Jordac
With eyes as bright as the shining
sun, a reality on the lips more
brilliant than the light of the sun,
a heart more fresh than the flowers
of the gardens of Yathrib and Taif,
habits and morals more decent than
the moon- lit nights of the Hijaz, a
mind more brisk than the strong
winds, a bewitching tongue, a heart
with heavenly light, firm
determination like a trenchant sword
and heavenly words on the tongue -
such was Muhammad son of Abdullah,
the prophet of Arabia, the prophet
who destroyed the idols which had
separated brothers from brothers. He
did not break only the idols of wood
and stone but also broke the idols
of wealth, indecent habits and
party-spirit.

Security when Ka'aba door opens
When I despair, I remember that all
through history the way of truth and
love has always
won. There have been tyrants and
murderers
and for a time they seem
invincible but in the end,
they always fall - think of it,
always.
